1x vs. 2x Carbon Fiber
 

How do you tell the difference, and what the heck is the difference? :confused:

the difference is very visible...the 1x1 weave looks very tight and clean...the 2x2 weave is the typical weave you see on most CF products. I guess you could say the 1x1 looks smaller compared to the 2x2.

I guess the VIS J's type 1 knockoff hood I have is 2x weave

Does it look like cr#p if you mix and match?

I think it does. I like my cf to match perfectly in terms of which weave. But thats just me. :)

That's 1X1. One by one is a stronger weave.
