Crazy California Fiat 500e Lease Deal Right Now

I've been in the market for a small daily driver and came across this the other day. I'd never normally consider a Fiat but I couldn't resist this pretty ridiculous deal. About five colleagues I work with jumped on it as well.

Needless to say, here it is. It's actually a lot nicer than I anticipated before I actually drove one.

Been thinking about this Fiat since last night. Debating if I should get it and save up for something nice after this lease if I get it.

How much was due at signing?

The math in the original article makes things a bit clearer: http://www.greencarreports.com/news/...00-plus-bought

The $82/month price includes rolling the $2,500 cash back rebate into the payments for those that don't understand that.

I bought a 500e about 6 months ago with the sport package. at that time it was the best lease deal that i had seen out of anywhere...i worked hard on that one. This is similar numbers. If anyone is thinking about the car and it works for your lifestyle/driving habits, i would jump on this lease.

It is the best driving non-tesla car out there. Lots of fun. Almost 50/50 weight distribution and the extra battery weight is on the bottom of the car, so it's balanced really well. the instant torque and gearing make it the fastest car on the street in the city.

Is Fiat also still offering the $500/yr rental car credits? If you use it, that makes a big difference as well. I've already used $400 or so this year. Nice to be comp'd.

Whats the insurance cost usually for one of these things?
I know it varies but guys who bought this, how much did your premium had to go up?

seems like a nice enough deal, but the trim on the hybrid versions make the car look even more...

interested parties need to recognize that the ~ $8X per mo lease is only for those that qualify too. most might say that's pointing out the obvious, but not everyone understands that.

After tax/title/registration/fees I wound up out $3500 out of pocket for the down payment ($2500 will be refunded, so $1000 net once I get the check) and the monthly payments are $95 (I added the $500 sport package). It really is a nice driving car for what it is and it has some cool features. Throw in free charging at work, free parking in some cities (Hermosa, etc.), $500 a year towards a rental gasoline car (12 days a year supposedly), a HOV sticker, and this is a pretty awesome deal.

My insurance is through Ameriprise/Costco and my premium only went up 93 cents a month because this brought my multi-vehicle discount back.

Awesome. Thanks for the detailed information.

How's the interior space compared to the s2k?
