Thumbs up does anyone know differences between

hi everyone, i am fairly new on the boards but am very eager to pick up some additional goodies for the car. i notice there are more lms in the sale sections popping up recently and am wondering if you guys can give me any pointers on spotting fake vs real before making a decision to buy. thanks everyone for the valuable info.

I wasn't aware there were fake BBS LM's
The real ones should have a BBS logo cast into the face of the rim

the closest looking replicas for LM's that ive seen are the Luff M1's. they have an almost flat face with a sharp center cutout where the lugs and hub is. just like LM's. the mesh spokes are straighter (more parallel) too just like LM's (as opposed to other mesh wheels where the two spokes are angled towards each other more). the bolts are also outside the wheel face like LM's. however, M1's do NOT have a step lip.

most 2pc/3pc wheels these days dont have a step lip and instead have a flat/reverse lip because people started to want more lip.

step lip > flat/reverse lip

Difference?

Poser and not a poser. Other than that, weight, forged vs. cast, sometimes step lip vs. non step lip. BBS vs. BB5 center caps. Finish.

if you go to a reputable shop and pay up the ass, you know they are real. should come w/ all the authentic paperwork/serial #'s too.

ask for a picture and post it here. there is no LM replica that looks "identical". only LM replicas that are just very similar.

If you ever see Kekoa with LMs, they will be replicas.
