Default Installed CUSCO U-Brace

i recently picked up a cusco u-brace from another member here for a price too good to pass up on. it mounts on the 3 points under the car. it ties bottom front subframe together. i installed with a very pessmistic outlook. usually most braces tend to be for more show. the brace is very light, has very clean welds and finished in the classic Cusco blue

installation was easy. hardest part was getting the nuts off. i torqued the nuts back back down to honda specs of 30lbs and 40lbs. took the car off the jack stands and went for a spin.

keep in mind that i kept a pessimistic mind to avoid the placebo effect. i have railroad tracks about 3 miles away from where i live. as i went over them i noticed that the car was more rigid and that it went over the tracks the car felt like one whole piece

i took it around some of my usual favorite corners. usually front end like it was bouncing/skidding around the turn. all that was eliminated. as i angled back on the driveway to pull into the garage, i noticed the usual creaking noises the car made completely gone.

money well spent.

thats exactly what i experienced using the whiteline/muz brace.

it just stiffens the car. thats all its MEANT to do. but it does it where its effective.

Isn't he lowered?

Congrats on the find, glad you're enjoying it. Hopefully I'll find a good deal one something similar some day too

X braces do actually do something for your car.

Before I installed mine I was lowered on springs with le28s (Fronts 52 or 50 offset with 225/40/18 tires). I would rub against my fender liner everytime i made a right turn onto my home street because there was a very very small dip. I installed sway bars and it got rid of the rubbing at low speeds but would still rub at higher speeds.

Then I put on the Spoon Xbrace and I no longer rub on the same street regarless of speed.

I rolled my fenders and are running 235/40/18s and no rubbing as well.

Good mod.
