I need my retainers done. watched all the how-to videos and it doesnt look like something i want to attempt.

I'm looking for a shop on the same level as LHT Performance... is there such a place?

I'm considering rockstar garage but they are a little far for me. Are there any other options? Is Ballade Sports recommended?

Try reachout to Raceline in El Monte if you don't want to go off too far..

 

Avoid at all costs. You're better off trying to do the work yourself.

Regarding retainers, easy job for Formula-S (SoCal s2k) to do.
The last bit of work that I had done was a full valve-train replacement (retainers, keepers, bases, etc.). In fact, they were removing the Super-Tech Ti set that Ballade up sold me on a number of years back (started seeing increased titanium wear in my oil analysis samples).
I went back to stock AP2 with Toda valve-springs.
They did my spark plugs and also replaced all of my spark plug seals too.

I started going to them since they're closer to me than Rock Star Garage.
