Default Richmond engine repair recommendations?

My wife's van (Pontiac Transport) has decided it's jealous that we bought an Xterra recently and has decided to develop cylinder problems.

I've given the Pontiac dealer two shots at it and they've failed to resolve the problem. I'd like to get this repaired; anyone have any recommendations for engine repair shops in Richmond?

If the shop still exists (and I don't really care about the shop as much as the mechanic...) and if the mechanic "David Hinton" still works there -- long brown hair usually in ponytail...then I'd recommend:

Epperly's Garage
17316 Pouncey Tract Rd
Rockville, VA 23146-1600

804-749-4131

[edit] I just gave the shop a call & spoke with David. Still in business & David still works there. Although he did indicate that the shop is getting out of "full engine tear-downs"...he suggested you call him and run down the symptoms you're dealing with. If he doesn't believe his shop will be able to assist you...he feels sure he can point you in a trusted direction.

w1ngy, you are a gentleman and a scholar. I knew you had a shop on Pouncey Tract that you had recommended in the past for other work, but I didn't know if they did engine type stuff.

I'll give them a call. Thanks man!
