Need Help
My wife 2003 toyota matrix has some prob ..
it was not able to start, seems like dead battery, no response and not even sound of trying when key is turn, and car can start immediately with jump start cable...
but I bought a new battery just last year ... so it cannot be a battery prob,
what else can lead to car do not start ? alternator? ignition starter?
anyone knows?
ps, after I got home and try start it again after several hours, it started, but only with second try, so looks like battery is losing again ... is it because of battery not charging?

I don't mean to be a dick but...
1. There are two lines (one for subject name - and one for description) - please use them - otherwise EVERYONE clicks about "Need Help" but obviously very few can.
2. It helps to consult a Matrix forum and/or Google for simple problems - a simple google search yielded information about this problem.

this type of problem is not car specific really ... it can happen on my S as well, i dont think there would be difference asking in a S or matrix forum.
If you think I wasted your 20 sec loading time by reading this, i got nothing to say, i was in a hurry to post this as to get more comments to solve the problem here...

i thought it was about seeing your gynecologist
It sounds like your alternator. Take your battery to auto-zone to get fully charged then test it. If its good most likely your alternator. Then get your alternator tested if thats good. Check all grounds and Battery terminals.
Good luck.
Good luck.
