Default need help picking a processor for a notebook

is the intel core 2 duo a good processor for a notebook? or is there something better? whats the best processor for notebooks right now? i need some input, thanks.

Definitely, go with the C2D. 2.16, 2.33, etc. really don't make that big of a difference, I'd rather upgrade ram to at least 2 gigs if you are going to play games.

Yes Core 2 Duo is the best processor. As the other post said, get more RAM instead of the fastest processor - that's a lot more bang for the buck. Even better if you can wait a couple of months. The new Santa Rosa platform will be out next month and that's a significant upgrade than what's available now. Remember having the fastest processor doesn't mean much to system performance if the other components don't play along well. check out notebookreview.com or wiki. there's tons of info there.
