Last I hear it's $1500 a cat. Not bad really, I run a muffler shop if I get caught it's $25,000 for puting on a "test" pipe.

what do you mean per cat? Some cars have more than one cat? I think S2K's have just one cat right? Its pretty hard to get caught with a test pipe by a cop right?

I was pulled over once because I guess he was eyeing my single. He popped my hood, looked under my car, and let me go. If I had a test pipe,

Most cars have more than one. My mustang came stock with 6. S2000's have one. Some hondas have 2. And you will never get pulled over for not having a cat but some cops really get a hardon for looking for cats. Back in the street racing days there was a cop that would check evey mustang and import he pulled over for cats. And the shit thing I worked on his car at my old work (JBA Racing) and he had a mustang with no cats.
