What Operating System Are You Using? (Primary)
Not an OSX fan.... too limiting, lack of support IMO.
Linux is the most efficient to work on imo and Windows offers the most adjustability. OSX for me just lands somewhere between the two but doesn't do either well for me.

I don't have enough Linux command line experience to get the Ubuntu machine to mesh with my network properly, so I bought XP to install on it. I might try to dual boot it.
I was using Parallels on my laptop until I got the Parallels BSOD. The fix was too much trouble to bother with. I use VMware on the GF's computer.

If you are going to run linux AND windows, put windows ontop of linux rather than the other way around.
File system is quicker that way.
I still like windows for a lot of things though, Adobe products offer no advantage really on Mac like they used to. Now It's really about what you're comfortable with it. I do like the Menu bar on OSX
To get it on Windows use OBJECT DOCK. It's just like what you see at the bottom tool bar on a mac and works great.
