Unhappy Windshield Replacement needed!

Bad luck on me last night. I was driving MY04 on Las Tunas in between Del Mar Ave and San Gabriel Blvd around 11:00pm. Suddenly I heard a "pa" noise and I found my windshield was cracked. At first I thought someone was throwing rock at my car and I called the police immediately. Later they found out my windshield was hit by golf ball because it left a mark on the plastic trim along the top of my windshield. They said there is a country club on the street and it happened to someone else before. The police said I was lucky I didn't drive with top down. (Maybe I was unlucky if I drove a little faster, the golf ball might've hit the top of my car, not the windsheld)

Anyway, I need to have my windshield replaced. I was planning to file a claim to my insurance company to pay for the replacement. However, I have a $500 deductible and the repair might be less than $500 (that's my guess). Can anyone recommend me a place to fix it? How much would it cost to replace it? Should I go for Honda windshield or aftermarket one? Thanks for any feedbacks!!

In the same night , I was pulled over by a police for making illegal left turn on an intersection in Pasadena . It used to be okay to turn left but I was spacing out thinking about the windshield. I didn't pay attention to the new sign. That was my fault.

Hopefully, all of the bad luck will go away from me after all the bad things happened to me last night.

if you can prove it was from the golf course....go to them.

my dad's BMW was hit by one and we had to threaten a lawsuit in order to get the money.

Thanks for your advice. I will check on the police report to see what they say about it.
