Default which ~$25k car would you choose?

i'm eyeing a new car. i've had my plymouth neon for going on 9 years, 145000 miles. it has no options at all, no power windows, door locks, nothing. but it gets me where i need to go, efficiently, and my parents paid for it, so i plan on running it into the ground.

anyway, like i said, i'm looking into something a good bit nicer, good performance and fun. ideally i'd like AWD (for winter weather around here) or RWD, but i'm not seeing too many of those in my price range. i'd love an S2000, STI or Evo, but i'm afraid they're a bit too much.

so i'm looking at a:

Honda Civic Si coupe
Mazdaspeed 3
VW GTI
Subaru Impreza WRX (probably the hatch/wagon)

what do you think of these cars? what would you go with? any other recommendations?

thanks!

I think base 2008 STI's are going for closer to 29 or so new.

09 WRX is also a good deal, should be able to get invoice price easily.
