I am thinking of leasing a 02 civic as my daily driver. I am racking up too many miles on the s2000 and I don't want to spend money on tires every 6 months. I have a beater right now, but it's on its last legs (91 eclipse). The lease deal is 180/month $1000 down 36/12k for a copue LX. Not too shabby if you ask me. Anyone have any comments?

My wife has an 01 4 door LX.. It's a great commuter car. It gets great gas milage, and it's pretty peppy for only having 115hp, and hers is an auto.

You should check out the Protege5 - great handling little car. Not sure how the price would work out, but it would be more entertaining than a Civic.

For sure, the new Protoge has seemed to take over where the old Civic left off..

my dad just got a civic lx sedan for his commute to work. it gets him great mileage...something like 36 mpg i think...and the stick shift is very easy to manuever.
