Default 05 RSX automatic w/ leather

I've gotten a quote for an 2005 Nighthawk Black Pearl Acura RSX w/ ebony leather and 5-spd automatic transmission that includes the following:

1) splash guards, wheel locks, carpets, trunk tray, 6 disc CD changer, and front under-body spoiler for $22,750 OTD.

Would you consider this a good price?

If I recall correctly, I got my 2003 RSX Type S for 24.5K OTD. I think $22.7 is just bit high for an base model + leather IMO. Then again, you're also getting the 6 disc changer + front lip.

How much extra for the front lip? I just got an '05 Type S for $22,500.

Why not just buy the '05 Type S? ... It comes with a bodykit although its not as aggressive as the OEM add-on bodykit, and has a lot more pickup and go than the base model. You could always add the optional front lip afterwards for less money (buy it online) and install it yourself. The 6 Disc changer is standard in the Type S, and most places throw in the wheel locks and trunk tray for free.

Unless you need an automatic ... I would get the Type S.

Hondata for the '05 Type S should be out soon too

Don't list OTD price as it will be hard for people in different areas to compare due to area specific taxes, etc. That being said, unless those fees in your area are quite a bit higher I got a Type-S OTD back in '03 for less than that, my guess is you can do better on that price.

The car isn't for myself, and yes an automatic is needed.

Taxes here are 8.25%

I started with invoice on this car which is $20,250 then added costs to it like:

1) splash cards - $89
2) CD changer - $531
3) floor mats - $65
4) trunk tray - $99
5) front under-body spoiler - $399
6) wheel locks - $49
7) destination/delivery - $570 (Should I pay for this?)

That brought the total to $22,052 * TTL which is atleast gonna add on the tax gives you $23,871 so I thought knock $1000 off that price and it would be a good price.

You usually have to pay destination/delivery.

All of those options have "invoice" prices on them too. I would recommend e-mailing all the local dealers in your area (within maybe a 100 mile radius) and asking them to give you quotes on the car and every single option you want.

Tell them you want the prices all separated out, and tell them you'll be emailing all the other local dealerships so to give you a competitive price.

You may want to ask around on like ClubRSX or something similar to see if anyone has access to the invoice prices for those items.

Like I said earlier, things like the wheel locks and trunk tray are normally thrown in for free. Same with floor mats, and even sometimes mud guards. I would expect the front underbody spoiler to be cheaper than $399 but if they dont come down in price on that one, buy it separatly and install it yourself. I know www.hondacuraworld.com sells the front underbody spoiler for $310.70 with free shipping although you probably want to double check with them that its for the '05 RSX.
