Get a good look folks. Learn how to spot these from a mile away. Learn what the headlights look like in your rearview. Learn what the roofline looks like cresting a hill.

This, my friends, is the next police cruiser.

 

They should have renamed it.. calling it the Charger and it's actually not following the tradiation at all is sad Looks nice, but I hate the fact they are doing that.

 

They should've just kept calling it an Intrepid all along. Chrysler has misused the name before.

Let's not forget the previous Charger:

 

Dodge has now done what GM did to the GTO. Bring it back in some car that has nothing to do with the classic car except for the name badge.
The GTO isn't even a real GTO, it's a Holden Monaro. This new Charger is just a 300c with some makeup on...or off however you look at it.
That sucks. It should of at least been a 2 door.

I dunno, the GTO at least follows the spirit of the original. It's based off an existing GM platform (Monaro=Lemans), it's not flashy, and it's FAST.

I always disagreed with the people who think GM dropped the ball with the GTO. If they had made it any more visually extreme it would've compromised the name. The current GTO doesn't compromise the name at all. The original looked boring, but it wasn't boring underneath. Same with the new GTO.


This Charger, however, is an embarassment to DC.

 

Not all Chargers were fast. The 318 2 bbl wasn't anything to write home about. I'm just disappointed with the look. I agree that it should have continued as the Intrepid if this is the best styling job they could do.

 

I'd still take any 318 Charger over this Nazi-mobie., Sorry, I mean DCX.
