Default 1990 honda prelude, quick question

Problem: Car sometimes does not start. Makes a clicking noise (I assume this
would be the starter clicking) However, other times, the car does start
normally. It is not the car battery

Solutions: I am thinking fuel pump? Main relay?

Help: What do you think? Any ideas will be much appreciated.

Sounds like a loose battery cable. Take them off, clean them up and see what happens. Heck, try tightening them up, it might be all you need to do.

All good suggestions. Also check the Starter ground cable. I had a similar problem in my old Accord (or was it my CRX...) , and it turned out that the ground cable was pretty rusted out.

CG, Kwando, and JonasM thanks for your quick responses! I will try all of these out when I find time.

I have had a similar problem, but on a 86 ford bronco. I was able to bypass the starter solenoid which turned over the engine. It was a clue that the solenoid needed to be replaced.
