I'm concidering buying a beginner's bike what do people think of old (1991)honda hawk gt's like this one

( are they a bit too much for a true beginner?)

or may be one of these then!!


or this one?(83 cbr1100)



I have very little experience(basically about 2 days worth on a 20hp motorcycle in india) so would any the honda's be a death ticket for me, or can I go for it?

 

No matter what bike you get... Take the riding course asap!

 

Hawk GT's are DAMN fun. If you can find one it would make an excellent beginner's bike.

Fun bike, stops well, has enough power not to get board with, not bad looking, rides great.
Lots of aftermarket EASY TO COME BY PARTS!!!!!!

Go with something that old, parts become well...one big pain in the ass.

my first bike was a 91 honda cbr600 f2 - great bike. had 60k miles and still ran strong!

 

I had an 83 1100 F, don't remember ever seeing an R. I'm assuming that was a non-U.S. model?

 

my first bike was an 03 gsxr 600 i still have it and never layed it down. had it for a year now.
