Default 2003/2004 M45

Saw yet another one the other day parked in a parking lot with nice looking wheels on it. I don't know why but I love how this thing looks. Chit mileage and a slushbox would keep me from owning one, but I do love how it looks.

Back when, you could get $10k off sticker because they weren't selling at all. I saw a black one with nice chrome rims a while back and it actually looked okay.

I wouldn't mind a clean one for a daily beater with that V8 (don't think they came with a V6). It's a Japanese Grand Marquis with more horsepower and a nicer interior.

TommyDeVito, you and I are two of the few that liked that M. I think it looks nigh-on fantastic, but looks best with the factory spoiler. Those 8-spoke wheels Infiniti devised (that everyone is copying now) really pull the whole thing together. I'd definitely rock one, and they're pretty cheap to pick up. I think you can get one in the low 20's now with 40-60k of use.

The new M is also a nice car, and I hope Infiniti really figures out a game plane for a new Q soon. They don't seem to have a coherent vision for the whole range yet, but at the very least they have popular models like the FX, G and M. Now they need to tighten up their brand personality, toss in some extra refinement, and really get to the work of building the brand.

The new M's look like bloated garbage compared to this sleek model. I always like the older M's.

I thought I was the only one.... I love those cars. The new Ms are nice, but the one pictured really does it for me.

Ewe! Such a boring-looking car! I think I'd rather have a Camry hybrid.

Kumainu: I think you would find the driving experience in an M45 a little more stimulating than in a Camry.

QUIKAG, I have a Grand Marquis. My wife drives it. Nice cruiser. But there is simply NO comparison. The M handles FAR better, is MUCH quicker, looks WAY better (imho), has MUCH more content, rides better, has much better build quality...I could go on and on. Its like saying the Lotus Elise is like an English Hummer2 only lighter and better handling.
(BTW, in spite of all that I think a 2 year old low mieage Grand Marquis is a STEAL and a decent over-the-road transportation appliance.)
