2006 Eclipse
no, that's just a concept
the 2005 models have body lines of the unfortunate body of now, but a little different, but it will not look, in no way, close to that.
the concept needs brembos becausew it produces over 400hp with both engines
the 05 spy shots are in magazines on the racks right now

I kinda dig it. The production model won't be that extreme tho.
I do like the fact that they restored to old Eclipse C pillar, they need to get back to their original vision of the Eclipse instead of that bloated Buick-Regal of imports they are selling now.
Then again somehow that car does sell, I see them everywhere. Which is why this car is so critical for Mitsus survival... the Evo is too much of a niche car to turn them around. The Eclipse is their bread and butter.
Yeah, those pictures are pretty old. I believe the are from the Detriot Auto Show earlier this year. The actual real spy pics of the car don't look like that. Looks like a slightly refreshed version of the current car.
Expect a I4 standard and a V6 optional, FWD....just like what they have now that's not selling.

Terrible, they had a good thing going back in 97-99 with the turbo, optional AWD, factory boost gauge and highly modifyable platform etc.. I had the opportunity to speak with someone from Mitsubishi corporate and he explained to me that the 2000 and up Eclipses were designed for the older/more mature population
To me, Mits had a jump start on the somewhat "affordable" high performance cars we see today. They blew it when they moved away from that.Ryan
