Default 2007 Range rover

Went to check out the 2007 Range Rover supercharged yesterday and I really love it. After test driving it we sat down to talk some numbers. The dealer has the exact color combo so I wanted to go ahead and buy it. I told the sales lady that I wanted 4k off MSRP and she basically laughed at my face. She said that since Range rover SC are rare they aren't budging, the best deal I can get is 1000 off If I am going to buy a 100k vehicle I would expect a better deal than 1k off. The sales person told me that most dealers won't deal on the SC and people are still paying MSRP on the Range rovers. This dealership is in Miramar Pomerado in San Diego by the way. I am going to check out more dealers in the LA area and see if I can find a better deal. I am not in a hurry to get this car, but if I am going to pay close to MSRP, I might as well wait until the 08 comes out on July.

Awesome choice of car regardless. This has to be my favorite SUV and it is one of the most desirable and best looking ones on the planet. "You know you've made it when u drive a Range Rover"- i 've heard that 1000 times from many different people. I read that the next gen is suppose to be bigger and more luxurious....if only i had 80k to spend on an SUV.

Those are really nice but if they are bustin your balls over the price I think the new X5 is neck and neck with it in terms of sexiness, and is probably better made, if a little less opulent.

a guy i work with had a range rover sport (non supercharged) for about 9 months then a Range Rover HSE for about 6 months. He apparently didn't like either one very well as he lost his ass on depreciation on both but just wanted out.

Not sure if the supercharger would matter much but he had more warranty problems than any $25k car should have, let alone an expensive car.

On cars like that, I'd definitely buy used. As Scot said, the depreciation is frightening (especially in the first year) - definitely worth taking advantage of!

the supercharged range is the only suv that i really desire. if you don't mind buying used, you really can save a boatload buying preowned.

Those aren't the most reliable vehicles...I love the newer Range Rovers but haven't pulled the trigger due to the numerous issues they seem to have. At that price I would certainly at least drive a Cayenne Turbo.

my neighbor has an 06 Escalade... pretty sweet! It has a "burblely" exhaust too...not sure if it is stock or aftermarket, but she gets on it a lot.
