Default 2008!

I think someone here mentioned about how incredible 2008 (model/calendar year) is going to be for the car enthusiast, so I got to thinking about all that is around the corner. This is what I came up with (in no particular order):

1. Direct-injected Porsches
2. Updated C6 with more power, better wheels, and nicer interior
3. M3
4. Skyline GTR
5. G37
6. R8
7. Evo
8. STI
9. G8
10. S2000 CR
11. 600hp Viper
12. C63
13. R32
14. Audi TT
15. Accords (and TSX?)
16. Camaro (2009 model released late '08)
17. IS-F (edited)
18. 1 series (edited)
19. Challenger (edited)
20. A5/S5 (edited)
21. Alfa Romeo 8C (edited)
22. CTS (edited)
23. 535i (edited)

That's a lot of stuff (though some may be speculation) of interest coming out in the near future. Did I miss anything? What a market for car enthusiasts. The only thing that I am left looking for is the Mazdaspeed Miata PRHT. When's that coming? I may be interested in trading the S for that, but, by the time it comes out, I probably won't have much time left in a 2-seater until I am ready to take on a 3rd car (whenever that may be). As it stands, I'll likely order a 2008 335i (hopefully facelifted and with the overheating issue addressed) this Summer. Anyone else have their eye on something in particular?

I believe the supra was supposed to make a debut also in the states. I think it's not going to happen now.

From what I've read, it looks like the 1-series is coming with the NA 3.0 six. Is that right? Anyway, shoulda put it on the list (although I think it's pretty ugly)...

Man are you mistaken. I've been following it for over a year now. There will be a 128i and 135i coupe(think lighter, faster 335i). They will launch at the same time. Nobody has seen the entire car uncovered so whether it is ugly has yet TBD. BMW is doing an official brochure photoshoot in the FL Keys and elsewhere with the 1 series next to the 2002 coupe.

That's right. I forgot they're bringing over a coupe instead of the Euro hatches. That's gonna be a tiny coupe, though. Probably a 2-seater in the real world. The 5-door would have more utility, if that matters (it does to me)... Nonetheless, a 135i would have some balls.

I think the Challenger will be coming to market before the Camaro
