Default 2008 BMW 5 Series

BMW have "refreshed" the 5 series and are going to offer the twin turbo engine in the new one! They are also going to offer X drive on the 535, may have to replace the A4 with one of these instead!

I'll be curious how the twin-turbo stacks up in the 5'er versus the 360 HP (IIRC) V8. I recently drove my General Manager's new 5'er and that V8 has some very nice thrust off the line. The roll-ons felt only slightly improved over my e90 but it was a whole 'nother animal from a stop. That Sport-optioned 5 felt nimble enough for its size but noticeably porkier than my 3.

That's a nice toss to the M5 visually. I can totally see people picking that one up, but you're right, the engine power crossover could be a problem.

^^The pic is the of the 550, I would imagine with the sport package. So hopefully the 535 would have the same options available as well.

I'm sure the 535i will lease very well much like the 530i.
