Default 2009 Fit Pricing

I'm likely going to buy a 2009 Fit in the near future. They fixed the nasty bulgy eyeball looking headlights that kept me away from the previous generation. The new one has everything I need and want in a car for my current situation (while I gradually save for a future Lotus Elise purchase).

For those of you that have purchased a 2009 Fit, what kind of deal were you able to get? I figure that I'll probably have to pay close to MSRP since I'm getting a MT with little to no options.

Also, I can already see that they did not include the Fit in their lineup of vehicles that receive the current 3.9% special financing offer. For those of you who financed through the dealer, what kind of interest rate did you get? My credit is right around 800 so I should be able to swing the best rate available for that model.

Thanks!

Steve

My son bought one at MSRP while most dealers in California wanted $1000 - $2500 over sticker at the peak of gasoline prices... they may well be cheaper now.

Remember that the dealers only have about $600-$650 in markup on those vehicles (difference between MSRP and invoice), so a "great deal" really isn't going to be a huge difference from MSRP.

When I got my S2000 in October, I asked the dealer about the Fit. He says they sell them at MSRP, do not haggle, and have lots of people plopping deposits. They don't have any on the lot since the turn-around on it is a few hours after off-loading the truck.

Sounds like a Fit is as in demand as a Ferrari.

Why not get a more comfortable American car for cheaper with a longer warranty?
