At best this thing looks like a toy. It might look good in the show-room but next to a traditionally styled auto it [the Fit] looks silly. The car looks like a novilty item, not a $10k+ piece of machinary. To me, this car is one step away from a VW bug.

I like it, much better than the current one. There is a niche here in the market-- small on the outside, big on the inside, great MPGs. These actually make more sense than most cars on the road.

PS- EG hatch is the egg

Looks much better. I've always liked the concept of the Fit, it's very European. A small hatch that gets good MPG, is practical, cheap and yet fairly fun to drive.

Didn't want to start a whole new thread on this so I'll post it here.

Edmunds tests the new Fit

Accord/CR-V get good enough mileage for me, and I don't consider fear of 18-wheelers and 109hp as "fun to drive."

And it looks like a modern day Urkle-mobile.

fun to drive is only slightly related to hp, but that's just imo.

fifth gear did a crash test showing how strong and well modern small cars do against large cars.

but hey, it's ok to hate on the Fit. I think it's FUGLY as well.

As Project Chief Engineer Kohei Hitomi says, "When you're on a good thing, don't just stick to it. Make it better."
If only they did what they say with the S2000 and NSX

I actually like the current gen better.
