Too much styling in it.

But at least it works (for me) more-so than most over-style such as modern BMWs
SUVs are not an easy sell anymore. We did buy a MDX which I don't like the MPGs but at least I can justify somewhat since it's a 7-passanger van.
But these small-mid SUVs are not any more roomie than my Legacy Wagon which I get 27 MPG (I know it's slow) but thats 2x the MPGs of some V8 SUVs..
Also even if it's a hybrid, one thing would be better MPGs but other would be heavier weight which these trucks already are heavy enough to begin with without another 300 lbs of hybrids.
What I'd like to see is a Euro wagon like the 5-wagon with a TDI engine gets mid-30s MPGs with 400-TQ or whatever it has. IMO that's the future only I can't stand current 5-design. OT but when the heck will a new 5-series be out and will it be cleaner looking?
Thanks for the post. This, though, makes me sad, I think. I've been anxiously awaiting this car (though maybe not as much as the OP has been anxiously awaiting the 1 series). The Mrs. needs a new SUV this fall and after learning that the X3 and RX350 won't be new for '09, I was sure the '09 FX would be for her. Given Nissan's/Infiniti's new releases, I was expecting the styling to be evolutionary, and it is here, but this redesign is disappointing. The headlights and taillights are fussy, and the guppy-mouth grille's gotta go. Too bad. The FX is a great vehicle that just needed a bit more refinement in its powertrain and interior.

"Fussy" is exactly the right word. They kept the basics of their very nice design but broke it up with too many fussy details. Too bad.Trending Topics
Wow, that is horrible! The current generation is quite nice looking (to me). This one is just not doing it. That nose looks huge, the headlights look like they've slid from their proper position, and the front bumper is protruding way too much!
