Gotta hand it to Alan Mulally and friends. Maybe it's time to reassess Fix Or Repair Daily.
As an alternative to a "Hello, Our Noses Demand Attention" HONDA?

For those of you living in California and New York who are out of touch with the rest of the country, yes, people are still buying SUVs. There were reasons they became so popular in the first place, and those reasons still hold true today. Just because they aren't fashionable anymore to those who live in NY and LA doesn't mean they aren't useful to those of us who don't. That being said, I would never buy a piece of crap Dodge SUV.

It looks nice, but wtf? These guys better be building a large line-up of economical cars at the same time as this gas guzzler. From my understanding, there's no such thing as a large SUV that gets great gas mileage. Hell, even my neighbor's Cadillac Escalade Hybrid has a tough time averaging over 20 mpg on his daily commute... And this dude drives like a grandma!

They do need a new line of cars. However, this and the Jeep were already on the table so it also makes sense to finish them and get them out the door.

If this is what Fiat is gonna do for them
Maybe it'll be the other way around, Chrysler having Fiat make Cinqecento 4x4's, "it's what the US marker wants".

Or more importantly "A Crime Under any Reasonable Assessment"!
