More info, pics and videos here

On Torque Vectoring:
The optional system for increasing dynamic performance and stability varies the distribution of torque to the rear wheels and includes a mechanically locking rear differential. At low and medium vehicle speeds, PTV significantly increases agility and steering precision. At high speeds and when accelerating out of corners, the rear differential lock ensures greater driving stability. The results are remarkable stability, easier handling and outstanding traction as well as greater agility at every speed with precise steering and stable load transfer characteristics. And, of course, lots of excitement at every twist and turn.

More from Porsche about PTV:

Variable torque distribution through conrolled braking on the rear wheels. Includes mechanically controlled differential lock with asymmetrical locking action (22% in traction, 27% in overrun) for increased agility, steering precision, traction, and vehicle stability.

Sounds like it's LSD + ABD.

I thought LSD was already an option you can buy.

Yep.
LSD is a $950 option on the old Boxster S. It has the same 22%/27% locking rate.
PTV is a $1320 option on the new Boxster S.

The rear looks more like the Boxster Spyder. I like this car a lot!

No, it's the best roadster all things considered, period!

Acura, please take notes.

Is it even worth upgrading to a 911 cabriole? Damn I love this thing!

I'm not sure the 911 is an "upgrade" if you look at the overall "fun to drive" factor of the two cars. I'd take the Boxster and the cash.

That brown or maroon paint looks rich on this car.

A 5 HP increase?

Really Porsche?

I guess I'll keep my 320HP 2012 Boxster S Black Edition...

I'd rather have a Boxster S than a Carrera Cab.
I don't think that you are in the minority on this one. The last two versions of the B S have been really good cars. The only negative comment that informed enthusiasts seem to have of the car is that Porsche intentionally hold the car back. ( I and many others would LOVE to see a "GT3" version of the car.)
