$26~$27K for a G8 + 0% financing
i finally had a chance to test drive the G8 yesterday. it was raining and slick on the road so i didn't push it hard, but i was damned impressed by the ride & the auto's smoothness (though i would have preferred a stick), and after doing some research, it seems that i can get a G8 without sunroof (don't care for it) for about 26~27K plus taxes & license, along with free money (0% APR for 60 months) - i'm VERY VERY tempted.
please talk me out of it!
BTW, the G8 would NEVER sell in China/Taiwan/Hong Kong - the name is SOOO WRONG.

i say that if you have the moneys go for it, its a great car and from what i hear obama wants the gov to cover all gm and chrysler waranties if they go under, so if you like them, and they are nice, go for it

buy a used one a year from now because you'll probably be able to get it for $17k.
If he did manage to get one for $17k in a year (which is most likely a lot lower price than he would really be able to get one for), and he financed it at 7% for 72 months, it would end up costing him just shy of $26k overall ($25,842) ...so, it would be smart to just get one right now...
OP, the G8 is a great car, my folks got one, and I drove it from Charlotte to Raleigh to pick up my little bro from college... 6-7 hours of driving, it was great... Great power, really comfortable, a nice sound system, and great looks... if you do, get it in black

Why is the name wrong?

Why is the name wrong?
the name is wrong...because if you pronounced G8 in mandarin chinese it sounds like a certain male body part (slang/profanity, extremely impolite)
still debating...
