Default 262+ mph

Buddy of mine just set the new record for sit-on motorcycles at over 262 mph. Little Honda 1000 gets it done.

Those quarter mile markers are flying by every 4 or 5 seconds

My old drag bike was technically still set on, and it would do 250+ on street tires with a stock swingarm. Who determined this was a record? A stock GSX-R1000 with the limiter removed will roll 240

There are different sactioning bodies. I think this particular meet is sactioned by the FIA, but I'm not 100% sure. If it isn't set at a sanctioned event, it isn't an official record. It's a lot tougher on the salt than it is on pavement. I would be surprised if a stock GSX-R1000 would run 240. In current trim, this bike is making well over 350 RWHP.

That's crazy power. I wasn't trying to undercut your buddy so hopefully my tone didn't come off that way. I haven't tried running on salt, but I would assume the traction characteristics are very very different lol.

There is another video off the back of the bike at about 250 with rear wheel speed in the 280 range. Bike is fishtailing and laying rubber on the salt. Made some changes and got it hooked up for the record run. BTW no offense taken. Currently I believe that Leslie Porterfield still holds the 1000 production record at a tick over 200 on a CBR.
