350Z
Here is the same car that someone took pics of at Car & Driver headquarters a month ago. This is the "track model" with a test price of $34619. Estimated 287hp with 274lb feet of torque. Weight is 3322lbs (ouch).
0-30 2.0 seconds 0-60 5.4 seconds 0-100 13.9 seconds 0-120 21.4 seconds (S2000's start to lose between 100 and 120) 0-140 34.3 seconds |
shouldn't this be in "car talk" section?

The S2000 beats it on price when you consider all the accessories that a person needs, then kicks ass in every category except acceleration.
Oh, and by the way, The Z is not a convertible. OK, so for the right foot it's a hoot. But for the rest... Yawn! I've had two Nissan products. Based on the poor reliability I experienced, I'd rather get the Corvette for the fully loaded (no leather?) price of the Z. "Some sedans are better balanced. I expect more from a sports car" The magazine doesn't mention the S2000, they talk like there's nothing between the MR-2 and the Corvette. How shallow! Don't want to be buying 18" tires, that'd be way too much upkeep! Especially on a car that looks like a Celica ran into a TT :eek2: |

Originally posted by DR. JEKYLL Nissan is planning on producing Z convertibles At white price? Given their current pricing scheme, I expect around $36K to start and $40K properly equipped. I'm sure it might undercut a Boxster or Bimmer, but that's about it. |
