Mallet put a Corvette engine into a Solstice. Weighs only a couple of hundred lbs less than the Corvette and performs similarly. By the the time they were done it costs north of 50k. For about that you get the Corvette. Don't quite see the point except to surprise the Miata guys at a stop light.

Even still, I'd rather have my S2000 over most Pontiacs.

 

..Most Pontiacs? The only thing I see worth having is the Monaro/GTO.
