'93 Eagle Talon TSI AWD
1993 Eagle Talon TSI AWD with 70K miles on craigslist for $4500.
Car appears to be very clean and I read where a guy took one of these
and changed fuel a bit with bigger turbo and acheived 0-100 in 7.4 seconds!
I think his new goal is to be able to squeal all 4 tires on a burnout
with the AC blasting..
personally that sounds kinda sick!! :-(
I love it!! bwahahahahaha

If you buy a DSM be prepared to constantly put money and time into it. There are the very rare exceptions, but most of them will require fairly regular attention to keep running properly. The engine is great, but the rest of the car will nickel-and-dime you over the course of ownership in all likelihood.

I've literally watched my buddy put money into a '96 AWD Talon for 10 years. I won't even mention how much. When it runs, which is rare, it's a beast. My advice is look somewhere else...

I've owned a 1st Gen GSX, a GVR4, and a 2nd Gen GSX. They are fun cars when done right but it takes good amount of know how to get it to that stage. Haven't been in that scene for awhile but dsmtalk.com would probably be the best bet to find out the info you need.
DSM are notorious for breaking down. However I think it is 80% of the owners not taking care of the vehicle and doing half assed mods. Another huge plus side of them is that they are easy to make fast and after market parts are WAY less expensive than for the S.
But either way I would expect the car to spend a lot of time up on jack stands. I have pushed more DSM than I have driven.
