Default 991 C2S PDK vs. 991 C2S 7MAN

Head to head test.

Please watch the video... I have a friend who has PDK in his Panamera 4S with the "sport chrono plus" package, and that thing is a monster off the line! I think I'd still get the 7 speed just for the feel.

Kinda tough to say since I'm not currently in the market for a six figure car...

Meh, I'd just take a 997.2 in 6MT and be happy. I'm fine with not having/being the absolute fastest out there and would rather row the gears myself.

I've driven a pdk equipped panamera and loved it then. For big heavy cars I enjoy the dct's more. But in the smaller 911 I enjoyed the stick more. Although I did not get the "omg amazing porsche shifter" feeling most people clamor about.

It's hard to get that feeling after you're familiar with the S2000's feel. It's still very good, but the S beats it, at least in my opinion.

Could care less about figures. All I want is an odd number of pedals.

Unless I lived in a busy city and had to drive a sports car I would get the manual, clutchwork does get tiresome in gridlock. But then again I have gonads unlike whatever a PDK driver has between their legs. On a side note, 7 gears, really? That is two too many even for me. 7 gears means that porsche admits to a an overly peaky motor. Maybe you could wedge a LS-6 big block in that car?

I don't think that is actually true, I believe the 7th gear is like ultra-mega overdrive...basically the same as any 7 speed duct but it just happens to be manual.
