997 GT3 RS

Note the suspension is the same as the GT3 RS racecar. I can't imagine how your kidneys will hold up in this car after about 100 miles of bouncing around on a freeway.

Porsche has a hit on their hands. The 911S, C4S etc.. are great, but now the Turbo and GT3 and GT3 RS it an embarresment of riches.
I like Porsche cars and Ferrari cars (even more), but the Porsche is obtainable while the Ferrari's not so much.
I did not expect the GT3 RS to be '$120K' seems to me to be very reasonalbe for such a car. I just wonder like has been said if the suspension is a no-no for public roads. The regular GT3 seems to be the happy medium for non-track junkies.
Gee, if I could wish for something, it'd be an even lighter car GT3 RS, it's still (I guess) 31xx lbs (or so).
here is a thread with a lot more pics of the GT3 RS it's funny how it's a mix of race (rollcage) and prodiction car (climate control, airbags, stereo, power windows, turn signal stalk etc..).

The C&D article says it's only 44 lbs less than the normal GT3s - that'd be right around 3200 lbs.
However, the Club Lexus link says it's 20 kg (44 lbs) less than the normal GT3s and it weighs 1375 kg (3025 lbs), which would indicate that the GT3 weighs only 3070 lbs or so.
Personally, I think the RS will weigh right at 3200 lbs. They haven't shaved 200 lbs off of it by stripping out the rear seats (yet adding the roll cage and such)...

this is correct...the 3200 lb figure is incorrect... the GT3 weighs just below 3100lbs, and this GT3 RS weighs 44 lbs less... straight from the Porsche website...
I always go by the magazines that weigh them with a full tank of gas. The difference b/t a dry car and car w/ full tank of ags can be 140 lbs (or so).
I'm not saying the car sites lie in any way, but they have no incentive to list the car weight with full tank of gas (I consider the 'curb weight' as car + full fuel)
