Default Absurd thinking...Porsche Cayman

I know...moment of insanity here...

What if I traded my '06 VW Passat and '02 S2000 for an '08 Porsche Cayman.

No...it's not a Cayman S.

Here are some pics...

Pre-Owned, Certified (100k mile warranty) $44,895 w/ 6,437 miles

Thoughts??

I would trade it only for Cayman S. I agree that 45k seems kind of high for a base Cayman.

This reminds of that Seinfeld episode about gays, not that there is anything wrong with it.

This is the original price...the price I posted is the "internet special" price.

I can't build a Cayman online exactly like they have it listed...but base is $50k on this car...

Oddly...I was just thinking about how I could get into a Cayman myself this week. Personally, I wouldn't do it if it weren't a Cayman S. And looking at the Porsche prices, I kept coming back to a C6 Z51 as a much better car for the money.

I hung out on the Cayman boards for a few days. Maybe Porsche owners are more picky than S2k owners, but seems like the Cayman has a lot more issues than I've seen with the S2k. I for some reason would feel like I could overlook that with a Chevy...I would expect that it's not going to be the most reliable car. But somehow, I would be more frustrated if I paid more than the cost of a Vette for less performance and have a car German car that isn't as reliable as a Honda.
