Acura ILX
So a friend and I went out in an Acura ILX 6 speed sedan, about $30,000 sticker price with 17 inch wheels, leather, sunroof, backup camera, fold down rear seat, NO NAV. You will recognize the pedals and shifter knob right out of our S2000. Big red start button and keyless entry.
The car is quiet, peppy, smooooooth, and nice to be in. the styling is sort of 04-08 TSX mated with a newer TL and civic...it works actually in my opinion. It is the best looking acura they sell right now. It comes in a hybrid and smaller engine model with smaller wheels and you can get nav with the automatic only. The 2.4 200 hp engine has a timing chain(I am told), runs on regular, and revs pretty smoothly to redline and it is the only engine you can get with a 6 speed manual.
Keyless entry of course. no seat memory. amble room in the rear to enjoy the ride.
Was my soul stirred...no...but if you would like a smooth, quiet, average performance sedan with nice features and decent mpg and a 6 speed manual this is a car to consider.

saw one in person. looked nice. but not 30k nice for a dressed up acura civic.
as much as i wanted to like it the word "civic" just kept going thru my mind.
but thats just on paper, havent driven one or even sat in it. seems like you mentioned - kind of the new version of the TSX since the TSX and TL are being merged?

Acura/Honda must have a corporate mindset that most people who opt for the manual do it to save money, rather than for performance or driving involvement, and so will not want to spend $$ on the rest? Just a guess...
