Question Alpha Motor Wolf EV pickup

https://www.alphamotorinc.com/wolf

Supposedly production starts in three months for this ~$40k EV truck.

Looks amazing, but I wonder if they will be reality in 2023.

Big late '80's Tacoma vibes and I love it! I wish more companies would focus on simple, classic, designs like this that aren't big a heavy. Just because newer cars need all the safety features and bells and whistles doesn't mean they need to be over the top. If that can actually get the claimed 250-275 miles on a charge shaped like that with knobby tires I'll be impressed.

Now that looks like a realistic pickup. Due to the size, hopefully it’s not 9000 pounds!

It looks really cool. But i doubt the range is accurate. It is probably much less with load as well. It seems like a great truck for clout.

I like it in theory, but this company first showed pictures over two years ago. I wish I had a dollar for every EV startup that was on the verge of production right before they went belly up. Fisker products would interest me more than this company to be honest.

I think this model is way cooler though: https://www.alphamotorinc.com/superace

I'll believe it when they start production and I see them on the road.

$40K for a two-seater pickup with low towing capacity, small bed, and a high chance that the company is belly-up within two years. What's not to like?

You'll be driving to work next week and will see a Tesla semi pulling a car trailer full of Alpha Motor pickups, Elios, and the new RX-7. :-)
