Really hard to find anyone or any company that hasn't gotten their hands dirty. Costco is an well ran, multi national company. GE had its time, seems to be finding their way back. Virgin seems to be good as well. Relatively speaking Target (when your comparison is Walmart, even Hitler may look good, I kid of course).

There really arent many, at least on a large scale, corporate culture is a mother.

Saw this pic today and couldn't help but laugh. I see no reason why the people who stack boxes should make more money than some school teachers. They could take out student loans and get an education like the rest of us if they want to improve their quality of life, among other options. If we start paying the burger-flippers and coffee-pourers $20-25/hr, the cost of our food and drinks will only increase. Then we will be hearing how they need $30/hr because of inflation. Entry level jobs that pay so little are supposed to motivate people to strive to achieve more. There is an over-supply of entry level workers, why would Amazon increase their pay? Perhaps they should go work for a corporation that will treat them better, and Amazon will be forced to increase pay to fill the now in-demand positions. I doubt Amazon or any other major corporation is too concerned given the current unemployment rate.

Perhaps I am just a ruthless monster, at least as compared to the bleeding hearts on S2ki. I squealed the tires on a rental dodge journey a few weeks back. Note: it was faster than a Mini Cooper JCW edition in a drag race .
