I would buy one in a minute except for the cost. A nice replacement for our Insight.

And it's based off the Elise
I like it, personally I think it looks nicer than an Elise. Sort of reminds me of an Elise mixed with a Lamborhini, maybe even some old MR2 thrown in (at least from the side profile).

I like it.. certainly fast. but the noise from combustion engines, exhaust, etc is a big part in the fun of driving.

I think this is awesome news. I'm from michigan and I know the area is pretty depressed right now with all the layoffs from the big 3, it's nice to see a new growing company moving in and taking advantage of the skill and facilities to be had in michigan.

as for the car, I'd definitely buy one if it didn't cost so much.

Well... this article is about the "WhiteStar" project. If the plans works out, a $50k electric sedan is coming out in 2009.

I can live with a $50k BEV sedan that will have batteries that will last for a least 10 years and a range of 200 miles.... [Phoenix Motor Cars said their SUV BEV's battery will last at least 12 years coming out next year.]
