Another DD search :)
UDATED! Found an E-36 M3 conv for such a deal...I simply could not resist.
Hello all,
Here it is again, one of those threads about a daily driver...
Quick summary, I returned my 07 BMW 335 cpe leased almost a year ago and haven't replaced it yet. I use my MY04 AP2 for short trips and my wife's Lexus RX 300 for the long hauls and work. (it gets 18 mpg and that's starting to get to me).
A few parameters:
-Budget of $15-$25K tops.
- Must have good gas mileage. Mid to high 20's. Anything over 30 would be a huge plus.
-Must be comfortable. I work in Real Estate and I drive a lot.
-Must be reliable. See above...
-Must have a little cache to it. Cannot show up and have clients look down on me. First impressions are everything
-No older than '99 (unless something is worth mentioning).
-Manual would be preferable but I'll consider AT.
Except that, I'm pretty much open minded. It can be a coupe, sedan, hatch-back, an SUV, a pick-up truck. It can be Japanese, European, diesel engine, ANYTHING!!!
Just to quick start the fun, I have been considering an 06-08 Acura TL type-S, Honda Accord cpe for examples.
Your suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
Cheers all,

I'm in the same boat and decided a new Fit would be the best thing for me. I'm gonna wait a few months though before pulling the trigger because the dealers around my area are asking ridiculous prices for them and are still blaming it on the tsunami.
^used type S are rare, type S + 6MT are MORE rare.. definitely a sweet luxury tho.
I know someone selling a 07 type S, black 6MT with a good amount of mods (no rice.. just common stuff, rims, lower, int sound system stuff, exhaust) for kbb price! lmk

Get an 04-06 TL 6 speed, the Type S isn't worth the extra money.
On my way home from Laughlin, NV with 3 other passengers, luggage, and the A/C cranked @ 80 MPH I averaged 30-31 MPG the whole trip home over 320 miles.

TL or TSX. Another option, which seems borderline blasphemous on this forum, would be an IS300. I owned one, and I want another one. They're buttery smooth in every way. steering, shifting, radio dials...... everything is great, and I never had a single problem with mine. Some of them came with 5 speeds and LSD, so you can have fun with it to when you want.
Much appreciated all!
Acura TL seems to be my choice right now, leaning towards the Type-s just for looks
Surprised nobody came up with a Mercedes diesel yet or something in that range...
Once again, thanks all for contributing
