Default Another GM article on CNN/Money today

http://money.cnn.com/2009/03/05/news/compa...M_10K/index.htm

The wording is a little disconcerting.

Didn't read your post, but last I heard they were deeply considering chapter 11. Disconcerting indeed considering that one of the loans will be ours.

Looks like bankruptcy is inevitable. Will there be life for them after bankruptcy?

Hopefully the government will shovel another 16 billion into the bottomless pit so we can drag this out a couple more months.

I know there are Mopar fans out there, (judging by their sales not many) but I think GM needs a lifeline but Chrysler can be left for dead. Their death probably leads to a healthier GM and Ford.

Enough is enough! Billions after billions, and we are trillions in debt.

yeah right... let them die already and restructure.

not about car companies, but i'm sick of reading the news every other day about "X company needs more money...Obama approves $XXX billion loan."

This was inevitable anyway fellows. The pension liability that was about to come due from the retiring wage workers at GM was HUGE!! And that was forecast in good times. But, now....the proverbial shit has hit the fan, and they are going down faster than a crack whore who dropped some rock.

Maybe one of the big 3 will survive, Ford may end up outlasting them all.Very sad to see the American car industry wither away.

One of those articles mentioned some concessions from the UAW. Any idea of what type of concessions these might be?

Significant or more blather?
