Default Anyone else waiting to buy EVO X?

I am today but yesterday it was EVO IX Tomorrow it might be back to EVO IX Been like this for months ever since I sold the SC s2k.

3 things for me to buy EVO X.....

1. Need hard reviews (all the reviews thus far are like previews giving EVO X praise)

2. Pricing (I'm surprised Mistu hasn't come out with this yet. STI and 135I pricing is out and EVO X has been hyped about for longer than those two)

3. Test drive of course.

If all goes well I'll head to the Mistu dealers in Jan/Feb when they come over here to the states. If the dealers jack up prices I'll just buy it from the EVO dealers in Cali who are more friendly to EVO board buyers and have it shipped up to Seattle.

I'm itching to pull the trigger on an EVO IX right now and have been for awhile but buying a used EVO is worrying me. Even if it look stocks who knows how the other driver took care of it and what mods he/she took off.

Plus I would want the newest EVO model around. Each EVO gen is "evolving" so you know Mitsu won't dissapoint as they have been evolving for 10 models now with improvements to each one.

Who else is in the EVO X camp?

FYI GSR model is the first model coming here in 5 speed. The MR paddle shifter SST has issues and could be here in fall. I still wouldn't buy the MR though.

The Vette doesn't have 4 doors and it's more expensive.

I'm waiting on Sti vs. EVO reviews to decide between the two, and also the price of an oil barrel.

I was honestly looking at them both. I went to the dealerships to sit inside the base versions and while its a big step up from the former, I couldnt imagine spending 30-35k on it. I didnt like the way the subie's hand rest wobbled or the quality of the plastics of either. I'm sure they'll perform on the track but I'm looking for more than a ''one trick pony.''

I have a deposit down on the X, and I'm in line to get one of the cars from the first batch. However, I'm still on the fence. I love the looks of the new car and the sophistication of the awd system. But I'm a little disappointed in the modest bump in power over the IX, and very disappointed at reports the US spec car will weigh 3,500lb+. The aftermarket can take care of the power issue. I don't know if much can be done about the weight.

I used to think the same of the Evo, until a friend talked me into driving his. I quickly overcame my initial impressions after being blown away by the driving experience!

Saw the X in person, car looks fantastic (and I am biased against EVOs and STIs in terms of styling). I truly think it's a styling home run (if you delete the wing), I mean the car looks more than just a hopped up rental. The interior in the regular lancers are meh, but I'm sure the EVO will have better materials for the seats and will be dressed up a lil, plus I hear they're offering leather this tiem around.
Thing that worries me about this car is the engine since they ditched the textbook 4g63.
