When I almost ordered the 335i coupe about a year and a half ago, I was getting $2k off sticker. The previous gen, the E46, the sport package was a steal because it includes bigger wheels package plus sport suspension but with the new 335i, the sport suspension is standard so all you really get is the bigger wheels package. I think it also comes with sport seats. I think it's worth it if you don't plan to upgrade to aftermarket wheels.

We got a 328xi a couple months ago and looked at the 335 as well, they weren't overcharging then and were actually doing better than normal deals because of the 1 series coming out.
Sport package isn't a bad deal, but the bigger run flats are a bit harsh over bumpy pavement, the sport seats can be a bit uncomfortable on longer trips. If you are planning on aftermarket wheels, don't get the sports package.

The sport pack comes with a different steering wheel also. If you're not going to go aftermarket on the wheels I think its a no-brainer.

You need to get the sport package to get the better seats, the higher speed govenor, and the 2nd oil cooler.

I just ordered a coupe for European delivery this summer. If you drive aggressively, I would strongly consider the sport pack for the extra oil cooler as stated above. The base seats are OK, but the sport ones look far better and have adjustable side bolsters and thigh support. I imagine that the 18" stock wheels/tires are worth more than the 17" if you are thinking of selling them.

As for pricing, dealers are willing to drop $500-$1000 off MSRP. I went with European delivery since I'm heading over there anyways this summer. My price ended up about $5k off MSRP.

about 3 months ago I was at a BMW dealership off the 210 in Monrovia(socal - I see you're at least sometimes around here), and was asking about the 1-series. He told me that they were still selling the 335i coupe above msrp. Dunno if that's still true now.

as a side question, if any owners could say what the decision came for coupe instead of sedan? Is the interior (materials etc..) the same for the coupe and sedan? and how is the rear seat room for children and small adults?

The back seat room in the 335i is QUITE ample.

Sports package is a MUST, for the seats, and the oil cooler.
