oh, sorry, i dont actually have an s2000. i still have both the eclipse and the talon. i work at a honda dealership and got the VIN off one of our rediculously priced showroom demo cars. ive driven them plenty though, and the S probably is faster, but it just doesnt feel it. the vtec surge in 2nd and 3rd is great, but it just cant beat the feeling of peak boost in even a lightly modded DSM. plus, i cant afford a new 30k car now anyway, even if i trade in both the eclipse and talon, and im not a big fan of convertibles. though, if they made a coupe version s2000 and made it a tad cheaper, i'd prolly have one sitting next to my talon now

the nyccdsm group has a trader/4sale section if he is looking on buying a used vehicle. Another place to look would be http://www.dsmtrader.com
On a sidenote DSMTalk is run by guys that are part of the NYCCDSM. He should be aware of crankwalk if he is looking for a 2G. Also rust is a major problem with DSMs.

DSM.org is the big link. It has the VFAQ and links to local DSM clubs.
Comparing the DSM to S2k is a nono, Both cars are fast. but in many different ways.
I have a 97 Eagle talon, I still have it, I like it for its big interior. Big compared to the s2k. They can be reliable if you streat it right, but again DSM and reliablity is also unheard of. Now as far as the cars go, the Eclipse is fun to drive aswell, though you dont have that go cart like driving of an s2k. Also you dont have the top down, unless you have the spyder. The modding ability of a turbo on the 4g is sweet. It only takes a few mods to make the car fast.
As for the s2k, its already fast. Want it to go faster? you need to spend more. But the ability to handle is the reason I got the s2k. Its a drop top that out handles cars that are coupes.
