Anyone own an E30 M3?
oh god, I wish i had an E30 M3...if someone put a Sport Evo E30 M3 right in front of me, i'd faint.. lol.
have you driven your friends e30 m3 8900s2k?
they are hard to find now-a-days, that are in good condition. And they cost a lot to maintain.
but, I hear they are a Dream to drive, and its quite an experiance itself just to drive one.

Someone please correct me if I am wrong, but Sport Evo's never made it to the US. They are the 220hp version whereas the other models had 190-200 ish hp. I've seen E30 M3's for high teens and that's with 60k miles on them in great condition. I would love to drive one as many BMW fanatics, such as myself, regard this as the best M car ever mostly due to the fact that it was a racecar first and BMW needed (due to regulatuions) to build a full street version with a certain number of examples.

It was a really nice one. Not that fast though, my S2K would pull on him everytime. But his friend has a silver one with a E36 M3 Motor in it, with a ton of mods. Talk about fast
LoL, S50 conversion eh (e36 m3 engine in e30), yea, those are sorta common now for those with the dough. personally I don't like that, cause it ruins the point of an e30 M3. The fact that the car is perfectly balanced due to the 4 banger, but when you drop a big 6 in there, it changes the awesome handling of the e30 m3.
An S2000 would have to pull on an e30 M3, lol, if it didn't, there would be some issues, hahaha.
Remember, the E30 M3 is over 10 years old!! the S2000 came out in 2000!!!
Anthony, you are right, the Sport Evo's never came to North America, but you can always import one!
I am also a BMW Fanatic, I know quite a bit I'd say. If got anymore questions, just holla~!

My brother owns a supercharged (320hp) M3. The car really drives well, is fast, and I find it easier to control the car at the limit than the s2000 (that said I have spun it a few times so what do I know!). I don't know why BMW owners make a big deal of the M coupe having the old suspension of the e30 M3 beacause it still drives really nice. M parts are not cheap, seems like everything is special to the car. The story is that BMW used the same block in the Formula1 turbo cars that ran >1000hp, if true then that's impressive.

Ok here we go again (my computer crashed the last time)
I am a proud owner of a near immaculate condition E30 M3 that is all original right down to the factory wheels.
I loved it since the first day I saw on back in 1989. I was in grade school saying "someday" that will be mine....well times change and it's mine now
And one of the best bmw's I have ever driven.
Here is the basic break down of the car during it's 7 years of production.
17,184 platforms were made during the time of 1985-1991 including 786 convertible that did not get imported to the US.
As technology gets better on cars overall, the E30 M3 is becoming more and more costly to keep up with the competition, but hear me out here... performance race parts are still plentiful from the factory and there were several special editions, that included the sport evo's and the crazy insane DTM E30 M3 race cars with as much as 330hp and a 10,000rpm
Since the E30 M3 were hand built like the S2000, the horse power varied a few numbers.
Engine sizes were as follows:
2.3- (US spec M3) producing 192-203
2.5- (Evo II) producing 220-225hp
2.5- (Sport Evo III) producing 240-246hp. These were very limited production and worth a good amount period!! If you own this, you'll be "beyond" crazy to let it go nor to drive it, afraid to break it in and unleash the real power...
Correct, the Sport Evo's were never imported to the US, but some are here now in remote places as well as the convertibles......If I could see one of these in person I'd faint too. Only a handful of bmw cca members own them here in the states.

I wish I had an E30 M3. I think the later ones pale in comparison as a driver's car - including the current E46. My dream garage would include a clean example of an E30.
I had the dessert of driving one for a night when I was at GM in 1990 just after I took a BMW/Skip Barber Driving School. We drove M3s in the school so I was taking a lot of liberties with it. LOVED it.
