No lambo steering wheel, no recaro bucket seats, no push button start.

Shittt, where can buy these optional factory components on the aftermarket ?

 

It is ridiculous that they would take out the start button to accomodate the 2 cup-holders... That is plain dumb, I understand other changes that are due to safety regulations like the side-air bags in the seats and the steering wheel. But are side-airbags mandatory? I mean this is a ultra-performance sedan, not an A4. I just don't get it, they took the distinguishing characteristics of the RS4 and turned it back into an S4.

 

I know theres an RS6 (obviously modeled after the A6 no? ) . Is that better than teh RS4 ?

 

The RS6 was made and discontinued (in US) in 2003. It was a monster of a car, Bi-Turbo 8-cylinder. They won't come out with a new one of those until probably 2007 as a 2008 model, if it comes to the US

 

Anyone looking for an RS6 with 3k miles on it?

I think the seats and the steering wheel help sell that car. For the U.S. to not get them, it would turn me off.

The next RS6 is to have a 500+ HP V10 (from Lambo) to compete with the M5.

 

Haven't they already announced the S8 with the V10?

Anyone else wonder how developing these cars can be profitable? I mean the volume is nothing.
