Good, that means it is still a good time to buy.
I dunno man, my company missed estimates by a dime in a consumer-driven market, and we are STILL getting hammerred by the Street. We're down about $2.50 (15%-ish) from where we were before the announcement, and that was about a month ago.

I shoulda bought more last year when GM was around 18-20 per. they still ahve a long way to go and the price may still dip but, over the long run they will be a solid investment.

It's good news. There is still a lot of work to do, but the news could be a lot worse. Good for them.

They trimmed the fat, sold a huge part of a large arm of the company, causing them to turn a profit...that's the good news. The bad news is they are still losing market share.

Hmm. I'd invest in GMAC before I'd put money in GM...

Its encouraging news. Its definetly better than 2005. Personally, I think GM has a pretty good chance of turning it around. Their new products have better build quality and they have warranties to back it up.

Ford on the other hand could go either way. Lets see their own PAG is not doing well. The Ford 500 was a disaster. Its a toss up.

Chrysler - MB has given up. There last great product the 300 is based on the old E class. Nothing impressive in their portfolio(other than the Viper). Oh the new sebring does offer heated cloth seats. (they brag about it in a new radio ad).
