How about, Sadly beautiful? A failed relationship has me doing this a lot, albeit on a much smaller scale. Sometimes I'll just drive, in no particular direction for no particular reason other than that behind the wheel is where I feel comfortable and safe.

Before reading that article, I thought he lost someone due to an accident or something. Guy shouldn't be so depressed that someone left him ... talk about over dramatic.
Couldn't he just buy a normal car and experience more of the world if he was so "down?"
Also I didn't see it in the article, but did he fully pay off those tickets and loan? Or is he just going to let it go to bankruptcy what not?

As much as I love the story, and the idea of selling all my possessions to drive an awesome car around for a few years wandering the country, I just can't seem to wrap my head around the financial irresponsibility of it all.
Eventually when the money would run out, I'd have a hunk of metal worth a few thousand, nothing in the bank, and have to start again from square one. And I'd rather not piss away years of savings with every mile I travel.
Then again, some would say that my plight is sad.
(Also- Dude should've sold everything and put his money in a high yield CD in '06, and bought a bike instead.)
