It seems that the owner of the mustang found the thread on the web.

I think this type of behavior can happen at any dealership regardless of "make/model/location." However, I do believe that going to the dealership and telling the SM "don't let any PUNKS beat around my car" is disrespectful as well. This gives the service department the impression that the owner thinks their are punks among their mechanics etc. [I guess in this case, if she didn't say that, he might have not posted it online].
I, along with just about EVERY half-enthusiastic S2000 owner, have dreaded the possibility of a tech abusing my car. I originally planned to remind the SM to make sure my car wasn't abused when I dropped off my car for the Spark Plug TSB, but then I thought about how offending that would be. Instead, I put a small post-it not over the instrument panel stating "mileage @ drop-off: XXXXmi. Thanks for your help! -Richard, owner." Like any paranoid owner, I reset my Trip B tripmeter and switched the view back to Trip A.
When I picked up the car, the note was till there. The mileage on the odometer was still exactly the same. The mileage on Trip B was 0.6 miles. I was very pleased. The car was in showroom condition top to bottom, front to back.
Anyways, I guess this is just a gentle reminder that you don't get respect without giving it. By going to a dealership and immediately insinuating that they will abuse your car will only piss them off.
Best wishes,
R.
