Big block small block difference?

Not to mention throwing the whole "modular motor" (eg 4.6L, 5.4L) nomenclature into the mix!

Most of the 60's 427s were all iron. There were aluminum head options on the rat motors. Almost bought a 69 Camero SS with a 375/396 and aluminum heads. Anyway there was also the ZL1 all aluminum 427, but so few cars were produced with it that it's hardly worth talking about. Most of them are in museums. If I remember right the ZL1 option was about $4k, and that's more than the sticker for the SS Camero mentioned above. If I remember right the all aluminum big block weighed about the same as an iron small block.

Oh.. I think a Lingenfelter 427 LS6 with Twin Turbo would be interesting to install in a S2000..

Car and Driver had a short article about the F20C about 3 years ago, they said it wasn't a technological *spell check* marvel, but an engine that used all of the technology we have today.. Even though I don't like C&D much today, I think that is perfectly put.
